If you’ve ever lost a tooth, you probably understand that some tasks that had been simple can be much more difficult. For instance, if you’re missing teeth you could struggle to pronounce some sounds and to chew comfortably. Luckily, there are several options you can consider—including a dental bridge.
While a bridge can make it easier for you to chew and speak comfortably, did you know that bridges are also designed to look and feel like your natural teeth? Bridges are also designed to fit comfortably. Once your bridge is made, it will be attached on both sides. Our team could also attach your bridge to a crown if you have a natural tooth or, if necessary, to an implant.
Typically, bridges are made to replace up to three consecutive teeth. Once a bridge is placed, your smile should look and feel natural. In fact, once a bridge is placed, you’ll be able to speak regularly, and chew and eat comfortably again.
Our team may need two visits to place your bridge. You see, time is needed to prepare your natural teeth for a bridge and to make sure your bridge looks and feels like your natural teeth. While you’re waiting for your permanent teeth to be placed, our team will place a temporary bridge. During your second appointment, we’ll place your permanent bridge.
